Icon14 Where are you from?

Welcome old and new users! It seems that we are getting more and more new users.

This is a thread where you can introduce yourself by stating where you are from and where you are currently located. I'm sure that many people would like to make friends with different people in different parts of the world.

So basically, state your username (and/or your real name if you want), where you are from, and where you are currently located. Other additional information about yourself is fine. Enjoy

I'm from Romania, Iassy. Not the capital anyway. Well... I can't say I like my country The first opportunity I have and I flee to some other place. It is pretty calm as a city and all the country has big problems with... erm... anything: streets, money etc. But we have some nice cultural places

You have something about it here too: Something of each country:)

We have something in common FancyM xD It's the 'getting out of my coutry when i get a chance' part xD

I'm from Lithuania-this year's cultural capital of Europe. I live in the capital of LTU - Vilnius (well I actualy live in a vilage 4km from the city xD). It's a very beautiful city. BUT living in Lithuania sucks in so many levels, well I won't stop too much on this but life here is kinda hard... (it's all thanks to our politics). But other stuff is not so bad... :3

Not really. Your thread concentrates on writing about the user's country. My thread is mainly on where users are from and are located now. Any extra information they want to add is up to them.

I'm joining the "I don't really like my country Club". I'm from Romania too, same city as FancyM and Shini-chan. I think every country has a good part and a bad one, and in most cases the good part is spoiled by the politics

Iassy [that's in english] / Iasi [in romanian] is indeed not the capital of the country but it was considered the cultural capital a while ago, until Sibiu became the capital of culture in Europe for a year a while ago. The good parts of this city is that it has many universities and schools, many old buildings, beautiful neighborhoods, the people are mostly old *head desk* but we're lucky that many youngsters come from all over the country to study here and from other countries also. It's a fairly small city but it's expanding "swallowing" the small villages around. The bad part is that we're kinda isolated from the rest of the country... we're also considered the less modern part of the country [well, that doesn't bother me]... what bothers me is that we don't have japanese stuff on sale like other big cities in the rest of the country *sigh* *sulks in corner*

We see each other as often as possible

Oh, Diverta and Carturesti are two libraries that make you feel you're in heaven

My favorite places are:

The Botanic Garden

The Copou Park

And I'm proud of our Palace of Culture:
